This is why I treat my Sims with respect.

'Cause I wouldn't want them to replace my dorm with a fire chamber or put me in isolation.

Little tidbity things that only need one or two sentances

Mar. 13th, 2006 | 12:03 am
mood: About to be better: cartoons!
music: Hugs in the morning.

Went to the SEC B-ball championchip. Good game, great seats - scalped for half face value, six rows from the court, right next to where the players came and went. High fived Noah and... uh.... some other guy at halftime. Noah's the cool one, though, so that's what counts anyway. Not as horse as I'd like to be, though. Special thanks to dad for doing all the driving. And paying. And coming up with the idea. And going to the university that won. Go dad!

Back at home for spring break. Home means piracy! Getting Looney Tunes and Slayers, now, but I'm going to go full bloke for the next week; Slayers, I should point out, is being downloaded for the third time.

Seeing Kate here in a coupla weeks. VAMPY friend - haven't seen her in years. Looking forward to that day, even though she's down with teh h4x3d sUp4 m0n0. Smart, witty, kind, cute... and just broken up with her previous boyfriend, doesn't this look like an excelent opportunity? Nope! She goes to college, like, three hours away. Ain't life a bugger?

Speaking of VAMPY, I listened to Spring Showers by Jon Whitney again. Damn. Does that album *always* have to make me tear up?

School's going super-very-well. Looking at a 3.5 to 3.75 for this semister. Dumb Chemistry could wind up a C. That's the only class that I'm struggling with right now. Damnit, dad! Couldn't you have hooked me up with your science genes?

mood: In my underpants.
music: Tango: Maureen

Does anyone happen to know if drinking half a gallon of lemonade is bad for you?

Just wondering. No... ah... no cause for alarm. :-)

Microsoft proves: Love can be bought!

Mar. 6th, 2006 | 09:52 pm
mood: I gotta pee. Bad.
music: SA NESCover (Slayer - Angel of Death)

Click here to have Microsoft buy your love.

And by love, I mean corporate loyalty. The going rate is a free USB thumb drive. Very, very cool.

Note that the love takes 6-8 weeks for delivery.

Things that I like, and, by extention, you should also like.

Mar. 6th, 2006 | 07:37 pm
mood: Groovy and hip and stuff.
music: Imaginary Places

Free music. Thanks, Papermate, for a free song and free headache. Still, as long as I didn't try to cheat the system, it worked. One song. Oh, well.

Spore. This is a game that you HAVE to see. Like, to believe. Like, it's going to be the game of the year three years in a row, or something. It's neeeeeat.

Mario Mix. Perfect way to start DDR as a beginner. Too bad I'm not exactly a beginner, but still, it's a fun little trip. BCSH is the Gamecube's PSMO. :-D

digg and diggnation. The former is looking to become the wiki of slashdot, and I don't think there's any way someone can get more hip than that. The last one is a video podcast featuring Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht of Screen Savers fame. You know, before it got it's name changed and personalities replaced with the plastic people of G4. Oh, crap... that might be hipper than digg. It's good stuff.

No one should ever feel bad about pirating music again.

Mar. 6th, 2006 | 01:24 am
mood: Self-rightous with good reason
music: My pirated stuff. I got, like, eight Beatles albums today.

Story.

Sorry, sister. That means that MP3 player you have, that Zodiac? Every song on it that originated on a CD, according to the RIAA, is illegal. Better buy them all again from ITMS. Me? I'm just not going to buy music ever again. Not if this is the way they're planning on treating me. Or movies - no legal movies for me. Games are still a tossup.

Those bitches.

Just a few days later...

Mar. 1st, 2006 | 12:34 pm
mood: Swave-feelin'
music: I went to a Mardi Gras fest today. No music, no music...

And I got two phone numbers, and met two other ladies besides.

Yeah, I'd say a little bit of cockyness is doing me a world of good. ;-)

Mark this day down for me.

Feb. 24th, 2006 | 08:42 am
mood: Yeah, look at my icon.
music: Kick ass organ music.

I'm looking to make myself assertive, now. My roommate sent me to a website that lays out all of what my own father always told me and I always ignored. I've decided that John, as a wuss, needed to not live anymore. John as a man, who comes up with snide but clever comments, comes into a room with an air of cockyness, and who just does not need to appoligize for things needed to start making me some larger number of friends.

If anyone but me is reading this - and you are, I know - lemme just say right here that my aim is not to become a jackass, or to squelch my sensitive side, or get laid and laid again, though I could do any of that if I wanted. My goal is to show that I am an alpha male. A couple of days of this, and you can bet your ass I'm seeing results. I get people to talk to me more, I make people laugh more, do things with me more. The works. Hell, I've *just* cheered up my old friend Kate by risking offending her - saying things she didn't expect. Now we're closer for it.

It kicks so much ass.

Did I mention that I like iTunes?

Feb. 19th, 2006 | 04:05 pm
mood: Mer mer mer.
music: Escaflowne music.... iTunes picked it.

It's awesome. It consumes my music life. With random songs. That's, like, six years of pirated music, most of which doesn't appeal to me anymore. But just the other minute, it played some song which I always thought was painfully bad, but I heard it, and my music tastes had changed sense the last time I heard it, and it was awesome. :-) Okay, now I'm sounding like a loon, so I'm gonna go eat birthday cake with my now twenty year old friend.

Guitar Hero owns all.

Feb. 19th, 2006 | 03:04 pm
mood: Mer mer mer.
music: Man, it's So Loud!

Especially when you dress up (clicky!) That's Chase, Peter, Stacy, Amanda, myself, Stacy and Amanda, and the guy I was dressing for, John Flansburgh. To be honest, I think I got the pose about right, but the smile is pretty far off. We played Guitar Heros, and Dance Dance Revolution for about 6 hours last night, and the ladies played Para-Para-Paradise (unfortunatly, masculinity disallows males to play Para in public... too cute). It was a good spirit lifter for an otherwise down me.

Incidently, I asked Stacy out on a date this morning. I got turned down. Boo!
